I don't remember giving you permission

For the record, if there was anything that I wanted or needed to annouce I would be the person to do it. When my person life is broadcast like the evening news without any care for my feelings or my privacy, it is a complete betrayal. Especially when most of it is lies, and the other half is exaggerated. And this has nothing to do with anybody other than ME, so if you want to know something, ask me. And if I feel like sharing I will, if I don't it means that it is MY PRIVATE LIFE! So I may not want other people involved, ANY other people.

Saints are admonished not to be tattlers and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

Happy Birthday to her Majesty!

To say that my friend Krystal is a spoiled princess would be an understatement. I love her dearly and she is one of my very best friends, but she is a diva. So when it was her birthday there had to be a GIGANTIC celebration. For weeks, she reminded me that I was expected to dress up, and not be tired, and be happy and cheery and give her a fabulous gift, and sneak candles into the restaurant so she can blow out a candle, and sing...... honestly it went on and on and on. Good thing she would do the exact same things for me, in fact my bday is in less than 2 months...hmmmmm

Well despite her micromanaging habits, she is amazing. She is the reason I passed nursing school, she dragged me through my worst moments of the divorce all while making me laugh. She is always there for me and is the first person to call or plan a night out if I'm having a bad day. I love this girl!!!

The contraband candle

Hmmm what am I going to wish for??

Chad is still out of town working, but I made sure Lisa came with us. Don't you love her new RED hair? HOTTNESS

My CO girls and random friend of Krystal's. Honestly, she was a random friend who decided to come to dinner. That's all good, I just kept thinking "Holy random friend Batman!"

Ok, here's the 3 of us!

Can you see my shoes? They're amazing!

I have no words...

Me and Li at the most AMAZING DINNER EVER! Texas de Brazil, Brazillian bbq. I've been to these places before, especially when I lived in Utah. But I always forget how awesome it is! We kept stuffing our faces, not even talking!

Oh yeah, I brought this guy too!

Our whole dinner party

Love you Krystal! Happy Birthday, thanks for always being there for me, and always understanding exactly how I feel. You are priceless!

Something good.... I have officially decided that I am going to be better at getting gifts for my friends birthdays, and sending cards. I'm excited to do it. I need to make a birthday calendar, so if you are my friend reading this, and you are all my friends, leave a comment with your bday so I can be sure to add it to my calendar!

Morgan's 1st birthday pics

I haven't even posted a quarter of all the pics I've taken of Morgan this past year. We've taken pictures every month. and Lisa and I at times have gone crazy finding outfits and props.

She's gotten so big!

Lisa's favorite holiday is the 4th of July. We have HUGE parties every year. Morgan's middle name was almost Liberty. Chad and Lisa are both huge USA pride people. Lisa and I called this picture Baby Betsy Ross

My neighbors have this photo session of 4 pictures of each of their kids on their 1st birthday. I'm still working on the coloring of it, but it was so fun! We took my curtains down (reminds me, I need to go get new curtains...) And we lined everything with towels and made Sydnee help us in case Morgan decided to try and move

Happy girl with a cake and a candle....

Hmmmm, what is this stuff?

Yummy!!

Don't bother me, I'm eating

YAY!! Let them eat cake

Something good....Lisa got a new amazing job, she's going to be traveling all over. I'll miss being able to see her all the time, but I'm really excited and proud!

No matter what I do he keeps growing up!

Beckham had his annual dr appt yesterday, along with his last 5 shots until he's 11 years old (can't even imagine that or I'll start crying) I didn't really warn him what exactly was coming I just told him right before we left that we had to go see a dr. Sadly, he mistook this for thinking he was going to work with me....

I love this smile, it's his "I'm smiling... SEE!!!"

Have you ever noticed the blanket that is in a million pictures with Becks? It is his favorite thing and he has named it Twinkle Star. I've had this blanket since Sydnee was a baby. I actually think I bought it when Sydnee was still in the NICU. I know it's blue, but it had stars and I loved it!

Syd is wearing a preemie outfit in this picture and she's probably around 3 weeks old

He loves this blanket and if he ever gets in BIG trouble he loses Twinkle Star for a night.
This is probably the worst punishment I could ever do and it's only happened twice, it's pretty effective. Since I knew he was going to be getting shots I let him take Twinkle Star and leave it in the car

Last year Becks was only in the 10th percentile for height. This year he's 41 inches which puts him in the 45th percentile... I'm not sure, he's 4 1/2 and he's still wearing 3T shorts. Plus the scale weighed him in at 37.4lbs and every morning when he stand on my scale (he just does it himself cause he likes seeing the numbers) he weighs 35.5 lbs.

He thought having his arm SUPER SQUEEZED was so funny

He would NOT take his eye test seriously! He talked like a pirate cause he got an eye patch and then would say the wrong shape on purpose every time!

He was really concerned about having to wear a dress! This is exactly a typical Beckham face when he is telling you something very important

"Mommy, this is a pizza, it is a circle, see?"

I did finally warn him before we went into the appointment that he was going to have to get some shots in his legs. I told him that he has to get shots so he will grow up healthy. And then I promised him a popsicle and to watch Backyardigans when we were done, and reminded that Twinkle Star was waiting in the car

This is our afraid of shots face

"Mommy, take a picture of me and then let me see it!"

He is my happiness in life. He is the sweetest boy. No matter what may be going on, Beckham can bring a smile to my face, and can always melt my heart

All day after his shots he made me carry him around because his legs hurt. I felt bad because the one time I did see him walking he was limping. Poor guy!

Here are Beckham's stats...

Height- 41 inches

Weight- 37.4 lbs

Hearing- 100%

Vision- 20/20

B/P- 80/40

I love this kid!

Something good.... I got a Shu Emura eye lash curler. It is amazing! I normally have short straight eyelashes and right now I have huge curled lashes!

Baby Morgan's 1st Birthday

Morgan Lewis turned 1 this past week. Considering that I knew her Mommy was pregnant with her before she told her hubby and Lisa calls me her 2nd Mommy it is completely bittersweet. I can't believe she's was born a year ago, and since I've gotten to take her pictures every month I really feel like I'm seeing my baby become a little girl. We decided to go to the Denver Zoo. Morgan's Daddy, Chad, has been out of town working for the past few weeks so Lisa and I took the kids by ourselves (Lisa's brother and SIL came with their kids too)

It was a perfect day! The kids were great, the weather was really nice and I had a blast. I LOVE the Denver Zoo, I used to have a membership and every time I go I'm tempted to get another one.

All the kids top to bottom, left to right

Ryan, Gavin, Brayden, Beckham, Sydnee, Morgan and Joy

The Birthday Girl! I may have bought her this outfit when she was a few weeks old, and may have gotten her the bow for her bday to match

Beckham De Koa, he was so happy that he got an entire day playing with Mommy where I didn't leave to go to work (I'm on call A LOT). Every time I'm home in the morning he asks if I can not leave at all during the day and lay in bed with him at night. If I do have to leave he gives me at least 5 kisses and I've learned to stand by the front door after I close it because he will open it and demand just ONE MORE KISS! I love it, I know he won't want to kiss me forever so I will give him as many kisses as needed so he's not as sad when I have to go to work

Sydnee Lehua, I was walking around Hobby Lobby (dangerous store, my money seems to jump out of my pocket whenever I'm there) and I decided to see if I could make Syd a dress. I got fabric and made her a dress without a pattern. Just cause I wanted to see. It is really cute, I'm pretty proud at what 2 hours of my day can result in

Gavin Lewis, he's 4 months older than Becks. This whole trip I had frequent flashbacks to his 1st bday party

Ryan, my little Ryan was diagnosed with Asperger's this past year. I'm not his Mommy but I've been extremely close and the past few years finally getting some help for him has been so stressful. He is doing absolutely wonderful and I've really seen a huge change in him getting better

My cutesy (Beckham's word) kids and a pic of Sydnee's whole dress

Flamingos, Denver Zoo is so pretty but the flamingos are stinky and Beck's didn't want me to stop and take a picture

Me and Li, she's been my closest friend and confidante. I love her so much!

The carousel, Beckham is probably old enough to ride by himself, but he tends to be a daredevil who would probably try to stand up if I wasn't standing there

Like I've said before... he's madly in love with her and tells her he's going to marry her. She replies saying "I can't even date until I'm a senior in college." That's my GIRL!

Gavin and Beckham. In this picture they could be twins

At the end of the day it started raining. But it was actually warm lovely rain. Other than Lisa and I running to our cars, while the kids stayed warm in the gift shop, Lisa and I had fun walking through the rain with the strollers while everyone else jumped on the tram and got a dry ride

Beckham enjoyed the blanket over his head

Before the tram, Sydnee was not happy getting wet

On the car ride home, the kids all passed out. I love that my kids love each other

We went back to the Lewis' house and had a bbq and party. I was exhausted by the end of the day and only got a few pictures.

I love my adorable kids! And I love getting to do fun things with them

Something good.... I know I'm a little behind the game and sometimes (Harry Potter, Twilight...)I totally enjoy teenager books and I LOVE HUNGER GAMES. I still have to read the last book, but I became so obsessed I stayed up until 3am (I'm normally in bed by 9) reading the 2nd one.

TVitis (inflamation caused by too much television)

I have been worried about Syd lately. Worried about her health. See there is a disease that has effected my family, I call it addictedtocomputergamesandwatchingtvitis
I am not a huge fan of TV, and really NOT a fan of video/computer games. I don't understand the people who spend their life addicted to the television. Walk through the door and turn on the tv before doing anything else.... I just don't get it. Spend meals sitting and watching TV.... I could go on and on. I happen to be married to a person who also has this disease. I grew up in a family where this disease has run rampant. And to say that it drives me crazy is an understatement. There have been some huge fights over this very issue, but I just can't get over it.

I'm not completely bashing TV, I have a few shows that I really like and within reason it's totally fine. It's when the TV and games take over your whole life. Now, if you are one of these people it's totally cool, we can always be friends.... I just can't live with you!

Sydnee has lately started showing symptoms that she is developing this disease. I will go to pick her up from my parents and she won't even acknowledge me since she's glued to a computer game, or every single moment she has free time she wants to watch TV.

I decided to bribe her (I will do anything to avoid her growing up addicted to technology) and I bought her 3 books. Actual sit down and take hours to read books. And then told her that if she read them within a week I would take her out to get ice cream and more books. And if she kept it up I would make her prizes BIGGER! If she continued to read all summer we would have a SUPER SPECIAL SURPRISE before school started again. (I'm thinking Six Flags??)

She took that challenge and IMMEDIATELY grabbed a pillow and sat down with the book.

I didn't expect it to be that easy! Seriously, she sat for hours and read the book, and not just flipped pages she completely comprehended the whole book and would at times start giggling while reading.

Don't ask why she decided to sit on the floor.... hey whatever she wants

Love zooming in pictures so she doesn't know Mommy is capturing this AWESOME moment!

I had to leave for work for a few hours. When I came home SHE WAS STILL READING!!! I started teasing her to stop or I was going to go broke buying her things. She read that book until I practically had to pry it out of her fingers because she had to go to bed. But she finished it the next day, along with the next book.... 3 days, she read all her books in 3 days! So I owe her ice cream and a very dedicated trip to the library. I think I need to start a sticker chart so she can track how many books she's reading.

(Don't smile Sydnee, don't smile... she literally would NOT look up from her book! So proud!)

Something good.... Lifetime fitness has become my new favorite place! The pool is so amazing, I'm going to be there EVERY single day I'm not working.
